had to sell my mk1 gte compromised with a mk3 havent owned one since i had a new L reg back in the day

As you can see irmscher wheels put up safe need refurb and new tyres. Drilled and grooved disks all around.

Hopefully will get the vented bonnet and lower spoiler for her soon, will get them painted and will have front bumper done at the same time, only other cosmetic thing on the car is slight dent on drivers wing missed it for over a week after buying it, So will probably leave it for now.

hopefully have a stainless system for her then will spend the summer getting her painted underneath and cavity waxing wherever I can.

Then she will need some more power possibly Saab turbo.
 
Bad day today engine dead oil light flickered on then off then a mile down the road she stopped, had to roll into a layby and be recovered by RAC engine DEAD.

thing i have found a like for like replacement for now challenge is to get the engine out of barn loft without a forklift but will find away. especially as i trust the guy who pointed me in its direction and its only £50. My mate will fit it for £70 so not much of a killer really. if it was 2 months down the line i would have been looking for a 3.2 V6 or a saab b204.

Oh well engine bay will get a good clean out
 
Yeah seized have found another for now will salavage what i can from it will be back on the road Thursday lol
 
mate, have you tried leaving penetrating oil in the pots overnight and then trying to crank over? My mates seized his engine up 3 times. 2 times he managed to un-seize (they say the 3rd time usually kills them though). You'd be surprised what you can get to run again!
 
Dont know why it seized to be honest, so would have to strip it to find the cause and then fix whatever problem i find. easier to whip engine out and fit another

Thats what I did with my mates VR lump, put oil down and kept rocking it - fine now
 
Been to see Mike in Uttoxeter saw car porn that is his Astra 200ts (shame to see it covered and hidden away) going to winch the ecotec engine out of his units loft this afternoon and swing it into my mates transit. Then drop car and replacement engine to my mate who will swop them over for me.Picked up a cambelt kit oil and filter for it so hopefully car will be back on the road on Friday.
